1. General information

The protection of your personal data is of utmost importance to us. We therefore process your data exclusively in accordance with legal regulations (GDPR, Telecommunications Act 2003). This privacy policy informs you about the most important aspects of data processing on our website.

2. Contact us

If you contact us via a form on the website, by email, or via WhatsApp, the data you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your request and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent.

3. Storage of personal data

We only store personal data that you actively provide to us, for example:

  • name

  • E-mail address

  • Telephone number

  • Period of stay

  • Number of people

We use this data exclusively to fulfill our offer (booking, contact, queries) and delete it as soon as the purpose of processing no longer applies and there is no longer any legal obligation to retain it.

4. Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device with the help of your browser. They do not cause any damage. We use cookies to make our service user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.

If you do not want this, you can set your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow this in individual cases.

5. Web analysis

We reserve the right to use web analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Matomo) to continuously improve our offering. If such tools are used, they are anonymized or pseudonymized so that no conclusions can be drawn about specific individuals.

6. Booking systems / online booking

If you make a reservation through an integrated booking system (e.g., Booking.com, Smoobu, or Calendly), the privacy policies of these providers also apply. Please check their respective policies directly.

7. Your rights

You are generally entitled to the following rights:

  • Information

  • Correction

  • Deletion (“right to be forgotten”)

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in any way, you can file a complaint with the supervisory authority. There is currently no GDPR authority in Tanzania; for European guests, the EU data protection authorities are responsible.
